Manchester City will play Sevilla this evening in the Uefa Super Cup, returning to midweek action. In June, Pep Guardiola's team defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final to earn a treble and set up this special meeting against the Europa League champions.

Sevilla will be City's opponent tonight as the Spanish team defeated Jose Mourinho's Roma to win the Europa League once more. While City will be playing in the Super Cup for the first time tonight, they are experienced in these contests having dropped four of them in the previous nine seasons.

After being defeated on penalties by Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley ten days ago, the Champions League champions now have a second opportunity in three games to win some hardware. In the meanwhile, they defeated Burnley 3-0 to get their Premier League season off to a great start. They now hope to return to Manchester with another championship.
