39 newborns are "fighting death" in al-Shifa Hospital during the live Israel-Hamas war.

The director of Al-Shifa Hospital informs Al Jazeera that Israeli forces have "completely cut off, any moving person targeted" the medical facility.

To discuss the Gaza War, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League will meet jointly in Saudi Arabia.

The head of the Palestine Red Crescent informs the UN Security Council that hospitals in Gaza are being "deliberately targeted" in an effort to drive out residents.

Since October 7, Israel's attacks on Gaza have resulted in at least 11,078 Palestinian deaths. Following a downward correction, the number of deaths in Israel is currently above 1,200.

Head of UNRWA calls for more aggressive Arab League intervention

In his speech to the leaders assembled in Riyadh, UNRWA's Philippe Lazzarini urged Arab nations to do more to safeguard people in Gaza.

"Today, they need you to turn this solidarity into further and stronger actions. The Palestinians in Gaza have always relied on the solidarity of the Muslim brothers," Lazzarini stated.

"I am sure many of you can influence action on the ground – no effort should be spared," he said, explaining that he was in the Saudi capital to solicit support for a ceasefire.

The UN representative further asked that Arab leaders apply pressure to expand humanitarian aid into Gaza, possibly by opening a second border crossing.

Lazzarini also demanded further funding: "We are the final ones left."
